Extra time request.

Every once in a while we get ouselves into a situation that requires careful consideration.

I would like an option to click a button that would give the player an extra 60 seconds or so to decide what they are going to do.

I like the idea of an extra time request for those occasion mind bending plays that will cost most of your chips if you make a poor decision.

Any support for this idea?

Really? Bad idea. This is not rocket science, we all should be able to make a sound decision with the time we are given already...any more lag or watching people time out and I will go nuts.

Sorry you don't like the idea Flak. It is used on every poker site I've played except here.

It's not that you would use it often (use could even be restricted), just every now and then you are put to a decision for ALL your chips. At those times it would be nice to mentally review the play pre-flop, on the flop, turn etc. before throwing in your entire stack.

BTW, playing Hold'em at a good level is way tougher than rocket science IMHO.

But if you don't like the idea fair enough, that's what forums are for and I respect your view.

I didn't actually think it would be a popular idea as I have read complaints about players taking too long and that bugs me as well some of the time.

It's just I have made the odd (well many) lousy decisions for the best part of my stack and in many instances just a few moments to think things through would have been very welcome.
