For 1-2 weeks there has been a slew of recognizable, ostensibly bot low-level accounts playing at entry-level tables.
According to a terse post (from july) by gnice37 in a different thread of the forum, "if you see a lot of random low level accts on the table....it is Ryan working on site". Ok then. What I would like to know is if these bot accounts are meant as a new permanent "feature" of the site or not. It would be great to have a modicum of "official" communication on the subject. |

Personally I'm entirely fine with the bot badges that we can see now. They are discrete but clearly show who's who (or what). Giving access to the higher tables to the bots is a tough question. Maybe bots can help nudging players towards the next tier, to alleviate the problem of empty tables. But I feel they should quietly disappear as soon as there are enough human players (say 3), as the salt of the game is really the battle of wits with fellow humans. Just my 2 cents... |

at 6:29 PM, Sunday August 31, 2025 EDT Yes a badge letting people know they are bots would be great, and the ability to fill higher tables or even sit at empty higher tables to start them, we badly need a reduction in tournies to encourage more table play, alot of the top 25 medal by playing 0 hands and only tournaments, ruins the activity of the site

I had very severe lag this morning in the Europe freeroll 2 today. in which, I was refreshing every minute practically. |

at 4:00 PM, Tuesday September 2, 2025 EDT Im all for the bots,I was anti originally when mentioned, but for this site with lack of traffic they are beneficial. I Also think it is an awesome idea for higher tables as I think it is sad when our high stake players have to play lower tables when there are lack of players around. I also have found I personally have found no lag issues but others having issues. I guess this is where we find out where it is the site or individual players as well.

at 2:41 AM, Thursday September 4, 2025 EDT I for one welcome our new AI overlords.
I vote for letting them on higher tables. I cannot see the bots getting to higher tables at the rate they're accumulating chips. Maybe could put dedicated bots on higher tables? Putting the maximum chip lip to push people to higher tables was a great idea but when it's quiet it sucks to just sit around waiting for someone with enough chips who isn't scared of head to head. The bot would have to be good enough though as the higher players could potentially milk the bot if it's not good enough. |
