Where did the real poker players go?

Now when i watch some of the top 10 play, with a few exceptions, it seems like noone really knows how to play poker anymore. After the turn or on the river, Going all in to get the pot, is not real poker. These dumbasses in the top 5 would lose so quick if they had to play against the real players. Like Vince Carter, or Gaz Barker, or GuyBrush. The players of today are all just posers. Going all in all the time, thinking that no one will call such an outrageous bet. Learn to play for real. I know this is not a real poker site for real money, but can't we have respect for the other players that are trying to play for fun, and play like normal?

Sorry for the rant, i just got done watching a higher table for about 45 minutes and I am sick of what i saw. This guy named Casaloko went all in at least 5 times. That it is not how you play poker.

I don't get it. Why is there even a discusion on this. If you don't like the play of someone at the table, change tables. All this bitchin and cryin over an all-ins is funny. If you don't have a hand you muck it. Plain and simple. Doesn't matter what the bet (all-in or not). If you call to chase and lose so be it.

Way to go Sasak! Your comments made me think of the Eagles tune "Get Over It". I copied part of it below that speaks to this very "non problem". Sasak....the more pressing question is why don't our monthy chips show up here when we post????? Now that's a "real" problem!!! ;)

Get over it
Get over it
If you don’t want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, get over it

It’s like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You’re makin’ the most of your losin’ streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak

You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin’ everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I’d like to find your inner child and kick it’s little ass

Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin’ and moanin’ and pitchin’ a fit
Get over it, get over it

Get over it
Get over it
It’s gotta stop sometime, so why don’t you quit
Get over it, get over it

I find it amazing that so many people have come in so hostile to this post.

At the low stakes tables it is virtually impossible to even buy a pot when you have good cards.

Fact is if you flip one of your pockets to make trips and go in hard - say 1/4 the max buyin - nearly every seat will call, and usually one will go all in. Then if you match that, so will ALL THE CALLS. Your trips will get beaten by a backdoor flushdraw, or an inside straight or something.

Now... is there a strategy that can beat this scenario? Well yes. There is.

But that strategy makes the game FAR more tedious than most of us like. And NOTHING you do can lessen the volitility that comes with all the doorknobs who go all in against your made hand and win on the river.

Yes. That is poker... and yes... this is playmoney. I get it.

You can argue since this game is playmoney it means the dynamic is different than "real money" poker. You would be entirely right.

But there is also the fact that this is the MOST volatile playmoney game I have ever seen.

And as June said, MUCH more so than it was some months ago.

Yeah, I also get all the short quips of "If you dont like it then go away" Or "Get over it" and all the rest. But I don't wanna... I wanna complain instead.

The fact that the top 25 have weighed in here with such witty vitriol (right) shows me the confidence they have in their skills.

This *sense all this makes* reminds me of the lyrics of a song, which I will waste your internet bandwidth by posting here:

In-a-gadda-da-vida, honey
Don't you know that I'm lovin' you
In-a-gadda-da-vida, baby
Don't you know that I'll always be true

Oh, won't you come with me
And take my hand
Oh, won't you come with me
And walk this land
Please take my hand

In-a-gadda-da-vida, honey
Don't you know that I'm lovin' you
In-a-gadda-da-vida, baby
Don't you know that I'll always be true

Oh, won't you come with me
And take my hand
Oh, won't you come with me
And walk this land
Please take my hand

{Drums go on for 14 hours while rest of band gets really really stoned and plays bad internet poker}

In-a-gadda-da-vida, honey
Don't you know that I'm lovin' you
In-a-gadda-da-vida, baby
Don't you know that I'll always be true

Oh, won't you come with me
And take my hand
Oh, won't you come with me
And walk this land
Please take my hand

Thanks cAPSLOCK for this great post.. :)
I would pleased to play with u, not even at Gpokr, but ALSO IN REAL LIFE (and that's the point in discussion on this topic).

Just add a thing to "And as June said, MUCH more so than it was some months ago." :
..and it was even more b4 that ! (refer last Aug or Sep)
